Nick Sneed Music is a songwriter and producer best known for his melodic R&B sound. Mostly 808-based R&B and Rap, his music represents a deep commitment to innovate. "I focus on writing songs that speak to the youth," he states.  "I want to inspire them to dream and achieve — to fight through conflict and achieve their goals."

With a musical style similar to ‪Drake, Travis Scott, and Ty-Dolla Sign, Nick’s songs combine love and real-life stories to create a unique musical experience. A self-proclaimed “scientist turned musician,” Nick creates new-age RNB and Rap for music-lovers.

Hailing from Landover, Maryland, Nick grew up in the Prince George's County area where he had a strong love for creativity and the arts. “I would always draw and come up with melodies in my mind,” states Nick reflecting on his early years. Nick developed his craft of creating music by emulating his mother, a prominent RNB recording artist in the 80's. Nick would listen to his mother's harmonies and vocal runs to develop his own unique style. In addition to his mother's musical influence, Nick's uncle Troy Sneed is a prominent gospel recording artist with several accolades and awards in the genre.

After tragically breaking his leg during a high school varsity basketball tryout, he began to search for ways to express his emotions. After a few weeks of depression following his accident, he found an old Casio piano in his father’s house that he used to teach himself music theory. In less than a month after picking up a keyboard, Nick had created over 10 original compositions that motivated him to further engage his creative passion.

Nick later decided to attend Howard University where he majored in physics and mathematics. While attending Howard, Nick built his musical resume and network by winning several music production competitions and performing 3 years straight for over 5,000 attendees at the International Howard University Yardfest. During his time at Howard, he worked with local artists such as Wale, Raheem Devaugh, Philade, DJ Money, Jae Murphy, and many others.

His work with these artist eventually landed him a deal with DJ Money, Wale's current DJ and music director, who helped Nick build his skillset with vocal and additional piano lessons.

After graduating, Nick ventured into the corporate world while maintaining his position as the minister of music at his local church. He has leveraged those music and business experiences to launch an independent label called YOTKLUB MEDIA, LLC. with a few of his associates. Since the launch, Nick has been featured on WUSA9 News, performed several successful shows at South By Southwest (SXSW), and has had the honor of performing at several prominent DC venues including the Filmore of Silver Spring and Howard Theatre.

Nick is currently working on his new EP “Why You Should Not Fall In Love” to be released in 2020.
